Why diagnosis matters
Melasma responds differently from sun spots or post-inflammatory pigment. Overly aggressive treatment can worsen melasma. Not every spot leads to the same peel or the same injection.
What fits in the clinic
Medical peels are used by dermatologists for some pigment disorders and uneven tone under medical supervision. Mesotherapy and vampire treatment support skin quality and tissue renewal; they do not replace pigment-specific therapy. Polynucleotides are also reported in the literature for tone and scars, on a limited evidence base.
